Over due and going to be induced?

im 5 days over due and if i don't go my self by thursday the hospital are going to induce me. this is my third child and went naturally with the first two. i said all along i was going to be late with this baby(to happy where he is). is been induced as bad as people make out. i had epidural with first child and just gas and air on second. would love same again but worried about induction. thanks
