Can my wife breast pump at 7 months pregnant?

My wife's mother just bought the breast pump we've wanted to use for when our son is born in September. She is eager to start storing breast milk for when he's born, so she wants to start pumping now. I've read that this is dangerous and can induce early labor, but is it possible, or logical, to breast pump this early?
