Nice places to live in Florida close to Orlando?

I will be relocating to Florida in the near future and am in need of suggestions of where to start looking for a place. Ideally, I would like to live in a rural area that is no more than 30-40 minutes outside of Orlando. I would like to feel safe and have that small town feel yet no be completely out of the way of the city (I am in the hospitality industry and my job will be relocating me to the theme park area). I'm not looking for apartments or heavily populated suburb type areas and most important to me is the safety of my family. If you know of any nice areas I could look for a new home I would greatly appreciate it! I am very excited to be moving to the sunshine state!
