This may sound crazy, but I think I can see further down my throat?

So I tried to induce vomiting by sticking my finger as far as I could to the back of my tongue. I touched something and when I checked to see, when I stick my tongue out it sticks farther out and I can now see deeper down. It's weird and it sounds it too but please help me out here. In simpler words it's as if I somehow moved my tongue more to the front and bear with that it's just a better way of explaining it. So, what happened? I now have a bit of a hard time swallowing, also.
