What do you do in this horrible situation?

All these other people are CRAZY telling you to just try it. I'd ask him to order me something else or better yet, order something FOR MYSELF. If he had a problem with that, I'd leave. Spending a ton of money doesn't mean you are forced into something you don't want. What if you're a vegetarian? What if you're allergic to something he ordered? He's clearly trying to show off, I just think he took it a step too far for my tastes.
